Hello there. Yeti is my name and I am a 1 year old, male Dogo Argentino mix looking for my forever home. I am smart and affectionate and can be a little pushy when I want attention. I'm topping out at a healthy 76 pounds these days and may have a little more filling out to do. I'm friendly with people and other dogs, even those that may growl at me when I'm just a bit too much for them. I have never shown any aggression - I just come on a bit too strong sometimes. I respond well to corrections and my high energy times are early morning and late evening. That's when I really want to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY! Sometimes when I get excited I will playfully nip and they are showing me that I shouldn't do that because it may give people the wrong impression about me. I love to chase balls and frolic in the grass, when I get the chance, although sometimes I try to play 'keep away' with the ball. Hey ~ I'm not a retriever! (Lol). I'd probably be a bit too much dog for little kids, little dogs, or cats but I am a good boy and have learned a lot in prison. During the day, I can be a bit more mellow and enjoy just hanging out and chewing on appropriate bones or toys. I've been really good so far at NOT chewing on things I'm not supposed to - like my food bowl, shoes, or bedding. Overall I'm just big, goofy lover that will be a fun companion for the right person that will love me and keep up with my training. Come meet me in Canon City and see for yourself!
