My name is Sugar and I am a cute, 2 year old female Lab/Whippet mix in search of my forever home. I have a very soft and loving personality and a pretty calm demeanor, except when I get to play with other dogs. I absolutely LOVE running and gently 'mouth wrestling' with all my doggie friends - when we aren't busy training, of course. I enjoy grassy, open spaces to run and roll. I can be a little shy when meeting new people but I warm up quickly. Unfamiliar places, sights, and sounds are a little scary to me but in the prison environment I am continuing to learn how to look to my leader for guidance and assurance. I'm getting better all the time with more experience and exposure. I am a smart little girl, weighing around 42 pounds and I've discovered the agility course here in Sterling which has really boosted my confidence! I will be most successful in a home that will continue to be firm, fair, and consistent with my training and provide me with plenty of exercise and love. Since I was a shelter transfer and found as a stray, not much is known about my past so it will be important to do some proper introductions with children and other pets, like cats.
