Hello there! I'm Remington and I "ain't nuthin' but a Hound dog!". Actually, I'm a 5 year old, 60 pound Blue Tick Hound and I'm on the hunt for a new home. I am a hound in every way- friendly but totally controlled by my nose. I like to eat, drool, and look cute with my big, floppy ears. Is it working on you yet? What my new family must understand about me is I was born and bred to hunt, so I will need a securely fenced yard to keep me from following a scent into the hills. I'm also probably not going to be very good with smaller pets or cats as I might look at them as prey (something to have fun chasing up a tree!). For the most part, I am a pretty mellow guy but I do have the hound-dog voice and will sometimes howl and whine when left alone. That's part of the reason why I was given up - no way am I a city, apartment kind of guy! A home in the country, with neighbors few and far between would suit me best. I am smart and have learned all of my basic commands well but you have to remember that my nose or the distraction of a jumping rabbit or scampering squirrel will be hard for me to resist. I really hope I can find someone that appreciates those special qualities in me and can maybe give me some opportunities to use all my skills. If you think you are the one - let's meet!
