Poppy is a smart and loving 4 year old, female Australian Shepherd that is all about attention. She's a compact 36 pounds which makes her a great 'travel size'. Her smile is hard to beat and she's never met a stranger. Poppy gets along great with other dogs, is not destructive or a big chewer, and is quiet in her crate. About the only thing she can't be around is chickens or any kind of fowl that are in her reach because she has a fascination with chasing and killing them. Poppy just wants to be around her people and would probably make a great travel companion for an active older couple or a family. She has been around children and done well with them but was too excitable before coming into the program for training. Now she's ready for a fresh, new start! Poppy's personality is just a very cute and happy girl who wants to have fun. Not only does she come with a lifetime of support for her training and all the Alumni privileges that are included with adoption, but she also has one free grooming available locally, once she has found her new family!
