Hi, my name is Onyx because of my handsome, shiny black coat. I am a gentle, soft, loving 3 year old male Pointer Mix in search of a new home. I am a good sized boy, weighing around 65 pounds and I like being around my human friends and just enjoying their company. I like to play fetch sometimes but playing and wrestling with other dog friends is my favorite. Sometimes I get a little vocal when I am having fun playing but that's just how I roll. Long walks in the fresh air are a pleasure for me and I have done well with all of my basic obedience training. I love learning  new commands and even have a few tricks to show off! One of my favorite tricks is called "crawl" and it's especially enjoyable in the grass because it feels so good on my belly - lol! And belly rubbings from my trainer are just as nice. I'd probably do well in a home with kids and I have lived with and tolerated cats in a previous home, but it's always a good idea to do those introductions carefully over time. I have been known to dig so be aware of that if you have to leave me alone, unsupervised. I would also really appreciate having some appropriate (tough) chew toys to satisfy that need in me - and keep me from chewing up things I shouldn't. I'm hoping for a Home for the Holidays and my adoption fee is just $650 which includes a lifetime of support for my training. Let's meet in our Canon City location to see if we're a good match!
