My name is Nashika Bramble,
and I started working at CCI's E470 Department in March 2020. It took me a little while to adapt to this position, but with time, patience, and encouragement from my coworkers, I have grown to love working here. I am very grateful for this pay increase* because I am now able to care for myself financially, save money and send money home to my family instead of them sending money to me. I hope that the day will come where all who are incarcerated will be able to have this same opportunity nationwide. That way they will be self-sufficient, pay off debts owed, help their families outside, and even hire an attorney if needed.

*Editors Note: The E470 Image Processing center pays our incarcerated staff based on production. All incarcerated staff earn at least $10 per hour, with our fastest workers earning up to $20 per hour
