My name is Key. As a frisky, male 6 month old Border Collie, I have a real zest for life! I'm only around 20 pounds right now but have a good bit of growing to do so I will likely be 50 to 60 pound dog at full maturity. If you know anything about Border Collies we have instincts to 'herd' and I would probably chase cats and kids or just about anything that moves fast. I can stay busy with games of fetch, exploring new places, or meeting new people with you. I have not always understood how to play with other dogs appropriately. Not only do I need to be properly introduced but I should be supervised. It will be so important for my new family to understand I can regress into some negative reactivity if I become overwhelmed with other dogs. Dog parks are NOT for me! I will have to be supervised and reinforced for good play behaviors. With some guidance from the folks here at the prison program, you can help me continue my obedience training and properly socializing me so that I mature into a good boy that will make you a great lifelong companion. My new family needs to be firm, fair, and consistent. As fan of snuggles and massages I can also be easy to love. I hope to be the key that unlocks your heart with my sweet, loving personality. We can meet in Denver and my adoption fee is $650 which includes my neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and a lifetime of love! Please fill out an adoption application to get on my visiting list.
