My name is Estes and I am a 6 year young, female Husky mix that has seen a lot in my lifetime. One look into my soulful eyes tells a story of past neglect from living in a hoarding situation some time ago. This may be the cause of the apprehension I have about crating. I go INTO a crate fine but sometimes I'm grouchy about coming OUT so we have come up with a clever way to address that - we just take off the lid! Luckily I don't have a history of being destructive at all or chewing up things. I've done well in the training program and have been lingering for a while - waiting for the right person to come along and give me that second chance to experience what a loving home can be. I am a good sized dog, weighing just over 60 pounds. I thrive on attention and would be a great companion for someone who is around a lot. I do have a strong prey drive and would NOT do well in a home with cats or small animals. My training is spot on and I still have a lot of life and love to give the right person. I may be a little dog selective but a proper introduction resolves most issues and I am still an active lady who enjoys exercise and frequent walks. My adoption fee is discounted to $325 to help me find a new home sooner. I'm okay with older kids and would be a good companion for an active retired person or couple. We can meet in the program's Denver or Sterling locations and I'm ready to go - just hoping for a 'taker'. Could it be you?
