Cooper is a handsome 4 year old, male Australian Shepherd that weighs around 63 pounds and is very smart. He's very obedient and has picked up on his training quickly. Cooper has lived with and gets along well with other dogs and loves to play! He would be a great family pet who is loyal and protective because he will bark if someone knocks on the door but once they are invited in and he sees that they are welcome he is fine and accepts them. He is a little cautious when meeting new people and becomes very attached to HIS person. Cooper is described as 'quite lovely' once he warms up and enjoys taking long, leisurely walks. He currently walks up to 3 miles a day and is very alert and attentive to his surroundings. Cooper would be a good guardian as he can be a little territorial of his space and would thrive with a job. He has displayed some prey drive and strongly dislikes cats so Cooper would be happiest in a home with some acreage to patrol! Cooper really enjoys playing with his toys and he is very treat and food motivated which has made him very easy to train. A family with older children would be best as Cooper is still working on some food and toy guarding tendencies.
