Hi! My name is Chance and I'm hoping some special person out there will take a 'chance' on me. I am a 1 year old, male 72 pound black labrador retriever mix that is fun, loveable, and smart. I am very treat motivated so I've been easy to train. I listen well to my commands and get along well with other dogs. I can be a bit of a socially awkward doofus so proper introductions are key. At one point in my past I even lived with a little Yorkie but I am also playful and energetic so my size was a bit too much for him. I love people and crave attention and affection from them. I like to be outside romping and playing so I need an active family that can provide me with lots of love and exercise. I've also learned to chill out and lay quietly in my kennel or on my 'place', chewing on a bone for down time in between play sessions. I sometimes vocalize with a little whining if I have a little tummy trouble or really want to go out and play. I also get focused on birds when I see them and I do enjoy fetching things so I have those retriever characteristics in my genes. I still have some puppy-ish energy and when my trainer throws the frisbee for me I like to grab it and run around in the grass with it. I like to give it a good shaking and then he says 'bring it' and I know to take it to him so he can throw it again! I am friendly with kids and they should be a little bigger so I don't accidentally knock them over trying to love on them. I'm ready to take a chance on a new home so fill out an adoption application and ask about getting on my visiting list! I'm in Canon City and my adoption fee is $650.
