Bruno is my name and I had a rough start in life. I am a male Great Dane mix that is 3 years old as of this December. I lived my life at the end of a chain in my younger days until I had a chance to live as a member of a family for a while before coming to prison. I have lived with cats before and I'm actually kind of afraid of them and prefer to steer clear of their sharp nails and teeth. I will be most successful in a home without other dogs because I have so much love to give my humans that I shouldn't have to share. All I really want is to be around humans, big or small. I'm very good with children as I am very curious and sensitive with a loving, gentle nature. I can be a little shy going to new places and meeting new people but I respond well to kindness and affection. When I'm comfortable with a person I will even lay my big, mushy face in their lap for snuggles and kisses. It will be important for my new family to have patience with me and be my confident leaders to help me continue building confidence in myself. I weigh around 71 pounds and I'm waiting down here in Canon City for my next opportunity to be a loyal companion for someone new.
