Howdy. They call me Bronc and that sounds exciting but I'm actually a pretty laid back guy. I'm a male Black Lab mix, weighing about 64 pounds and I have these funny extra toes on my back feet so I've probably got some Great Pyrenees in there somewhere. I'm already fully grown at 2 and a half years old and I had to leave my former home because I didn't get along with the other male dog in the household. I'm fortunate that the prison program transferred me out of the shelter to give me a second chance, with some training. I would be great in a household with kids because I lived with a couple of little ones and I was always happy to see them and be around them. That Pyrenees in me can make me protective of my home and I should have a large, fenced yard that I can patrol. I have learned how to tolerate other dogs and might be better with a female instead of another male. I'm not much of a playboy; just like hanging out. I enjoy going for walks and bonding time with my person. I'm more of the big, strong silent type and may be a little shy at first but I'll warm up and be your protector and companion. I'm waiting to meet you in Canon City and the $650 adoption fee covers all my vaccinations, microchip, and a lifetime of support for my training. Complete an adoption application today and email michele.wayland@state.co.us for details on my adoption.
NOTE; I HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR HEARTWORM AND AM UNDERGOING TREATMENT. MY PROGNOSIS IS GOOD BUT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GO HOME UNTIL AFTER MY TREATMENT ENDS AROUND 10/8/2024. PLEASE CONSIDER ME - I AM WORTH THE WAIT FOR THE RIGHT PERSON!
