My name is Baloo.  Yes!  From the Jungle Book character.  I am a 7 year old German Shepherd mix and I weigh about 85 lbs.  I am a little on the chunky monkey side and we are working on that; I need to be a healthier me so that I can live a long life with my Forever Family. 

I was adopted from the Prison Program and have lived with that family for the last 3 years.  While they were on vacations I came back multiple times to stay so that kept my training "Top Notch".   I heel nicely on leash, I am great sleeping in my crate, and I know how to follow the rules of the program.  Due to family circumstances I was brought back to the program to find a new home.  My ideal family would be one that enjoys outdoors, going for daily walks, maybe even a hike on the weekend.  I am a big, sweet, and mellow guy and you would have to meet me to appreciate the kind of dog I am. I really LOVE people and am a brave protector of the people I love. Loud and active little kids are not my favorite - they need to be respectful.  Probably children in the 12-14 age range or older would be the best for my lifelong success.   I am very particular about my dog friends and do not really care to play.  I could be fine with another dog when properly introduced or I could be the only dog in the house.  If you are looking for faithful companion to share some quality time with that can be arranged at our Denver location.
