My name is Wicket and I am an adorable little 7 month old, female, mixed breed puppy on the lookout for a new home. I was transferred from a shelter as a stray so my history is a mystery. I've got all the puppy personality you would expect in a young dog so I'll need frequent potty breaks, lots of love and exercise, and plenty of appropriate toys to chew on. I can be a little shy and nervous about meeting new people and going to new places but with a calm leader I warm up quickly, accept change and my outgoing, friendly side shines through. I only weigh around 22 pounds right now and still have a little growing yet to do but will probably not be much bigger. I am very smart and have learned all of my basic commands quickly. It's all those tasty treats that I get when I do good! I love running and playing with other dogs, playing in the snow, and chasing my own tail. Sometimes when I'm playing with other dogs I try to assume the alpha role so it will be important for me to understand what is appropriate and what is not. I am young and impressionable and could probably learn to live with respectful children and maybe even a cat, if properly introduced. The nice folks here at the prison program can help with all of that to make me successful in a new home! I'm in Canon City and my adoption fee is $650 which includes all of my vaccinations, microchip, spay, and a lifetime of support for my training.
