Sunshine is a spunky 1 year old, female Terrier/Dachshund mix that weighs 19 pounds. She is a lovely and extremely smart dog who enjoys playing and loves to run! She can be cautious when meeting new dogs but will become fast friends with a proper introduction and a little time. Sunshine is very affectionate and loves to cuddle with people. She is always excited to begin the day and has picked up on all of her basic obedience training quickly. On top of her striking good looks she is full of many adorable personality traits. Sunshine is well-behaved and would make a great family pet for older children as she will playfully nip at heels when she sees legs in front of her running around. This will be something for her new family to be aware of and continue to work on. One thing is apparent - the most important thing to Sunshine is love and affection. She seems to like cuddles and petting more than any treat. Sunshine my want to chase a cat but the folks at the prison program have ideas on proper introductions so she may do well, if given a chance. This little girl commands a lot of attention and is sure to generate a lot of attention so complete an application soon to get on her visiting list! Sunshine's adoption fee is $650 and she is waiting in Canon City for a chance to have a permanent, loving home!
