Hello, my name is Maizy. I'm an awesome, mature female Jack Russell Terrier that is 7 years young! Don't let my age fool you - I can act like a puppy with my energy but I also do love to cuddle and be a lap dog. Like all Jack Russells, I have a high prey drive and will let you know if a mouse or rabbit are close by. I may seem aloof at first but after I get to know you, I'm your best and most loyal friend. I may sometimes be a bit strong-willed but that's just a characteristic of my breed. If you stay consistent I will have no problem adjusting. I'm a lot of sweetness packed into a compact 13 pound package and will make a great family dog for many years to come! I even recently had a dental cleaning so I'm ready to go into my next home as soon as we can set up a meet and greet. One final note: they discovered that I have a heart murmur and some of my liver values were slightly elevated but came back down into normal levels...nothing to worry about but important for my next family to be aware of. Please don't let that stop you from giving me a chance!
