Howdy! My name is Bixby. Near as I can tell, I'm a handsome rust-colored male Hound/Retriever mix who's around 6 years young! I spent some time in an animal shelter so I'm a little wary at first but I warm up quickly. I love, love, LOVE to be outside; sunny, cloudy, warm, cool, snowy. It's all the same to me and I will be right by your side in any kind of weather. I don't mind being inside either. When I'm inside, I am quiet and well mannered. I don't bark or make a fuss. I just hang out with my human or kick back in my favorite place. I'm a lanky 62 pounds and I'm looking for a quiet home where I can be active and get outside every day. I would prefer a home where I have room to roam and run. Really little kids would probably scare me so older kids would be best or maybe an older but active couple that is looking for a companion to keep them active. I also get along great with other dogs. I'm not to sure about cats - due to my breed combo that might be something I would want to chase but I'm open to meeting one under the right conditions/with supervision.
