Hi! I'm Ruger and I am a medium sized, male mixed breed dog that is ready for a new home. Someone had my DNA done and my paperwork says I'm 32% Bulldog/American Bulldog (among other things) but I think somebody pulled a switcheroo on my sample because I'm 8 months old right now, weigh 41 pounds, and look more like a Border Collie mix, I think. Hope that doesn't cost me a great home because I am super smart, like a Border Collie, and on top of my basic obedience I've even learned some cool tricks. One of my favorite games to play is 'hide and seek' with a ball. My handler says I soak up new information like a sponge - lol! I'm handsome and very popular on the yard but I do get a little timid around large groups of people. With my confident leader by my side, my shyness is short-lived. I prefer meeting people one on one and I love and play well with other dogs. I'm wrapping up my training here in prison and looking to impress my next, new family with all that I've learned. Won't you give me a look for your home? I'm waiting down in Canon City to meet you and I will be on my very best behavior. My adoption fee is $650 and that's quite a bargain for all this handsome smartness!
