Hi! My name is Kaia and I am a lovely, 1 year old female Hound mix looking for an active family. I became a mother at an early age and was given up for adoption because I was a wayward girl looking for adventure. Now I'm ready to be a great companion to someone who will love me for who I am. I can be a little timid when I first meet new people but I warm up quickly and bond easily. I am very smart and catch on to new things quickly so my training has come along really well and almost never need corrections. I aim to please 'my person'! I am still young and active so I will need lots of exercise and would be a great running partner. I also enjoy playing fetch which is another great way to keep me fit and trim. I'd probably do best in a home with older kids and no cats. I do get along with some dogs and we would definitely need to do some formal introductions with other canines in the family to make sure they meet my criteria for a doggie sibling. I'm probably full grown and weigh around 48 pounds so will be a nice medium sized dog for camping and travelling. My adoption fee is $650 and includes my spay (no more puppies for me!), microchip, all my vaccinations and a lifetime of support for my training. Let's meet in Canon City!
